Your role
Lead Cloud Engineer AWS – Leusden
As a LeadCloud Engineer AWS in Leusden, you’ll take on an exciting challenge. Thecurrent external cloud team will be replaced by a newly formed in-housecloud team and you’ll take the technical lead. Together with your hands-onmanager, you’ll be responsible for all technical aspects of furtherprofessionalizing a cloud environment that currently runs hundreds ofmicroservices.
You’ll facea broad range of technical challenges. There’s room to further developInfrastructure as Code (IaC), address security topics related to internationalexpansion, and ensure the platform scales smoothly to support thatgrowth. Multi-cloud strategy is also an important theme.
Onceonboard, you’ll define the infrastructure roadmap together with themanager. The cloud team will also expand further in the short term. In short: ahands-on technical role with a wide range of exciting challenges.

A brand-new cloud team will be built from theground up and will keep expanding in the coming years. You’ll actively helpshape that growth and can become the technical owner of the domain.
Your skill-set
- At least 6 years of professional experience in software, DevOps, and/or cloud engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer
- Experience in a technical lead role (project-based or as a senior)
- A proactive attitude and strong communication skills
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus
- Experience with tools like ECS, ELB, RDS, or similar
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Scripting experience in Python, AWS CLI, or Bash is a plus
